The Sacred Ritual of Sauna
Sauna has always been a ritual of unity with nature. From the sweat lodges of Native Americans to the Celtic bathhouses, and even Japan's traditional "furo" - which originally meant sauna - these practices emerged from animistic cultures as sacred ceremonies for inner peace and connection with the natural world.
Bali, despite its rich animistic heritage, never developed sauna culture due to its blessed tropical climate. Yet the island's spiritual essence makes it the perfect place to reimagine this ancient practice.
Our Approach
Nature Through Mathematics
In rapidly developing Bali, we asked ourselves: how can we create a sauna that truly unites us with nature?
Our answer lies in sacred geometry.
Our domes are constructed as 3V geodesic structures - a form derived from the icosahedron, one of Plato's perfect solids. The icosahedron embodies the three-dimensional golden ratio, which itself springs from the Fibonacci sequence - nature's divine mathematical pattern.
When deconstructed, our geodesic sauna dome reveals itself as a physical manifestation of the Fibonacci sequence - the same pattern found in nautilus shells, sunflower spirals, and the arrangement of leaves on a stem.
