How hot is the sauna?
The dome sauna in Kuta runs at 80–95°C and the Ubud dome sits around 90°C. Both are proper Finnish-style hot rooms with löyly — water poured on the stones — not mild steam rooms.
How cold are the ice baths?
In Kuta there are four individual ice baths: two at 17°C and two at 7°C. In Ubud the plunges are 17°C and 5°C, so you can start mild and work your way down.
What is herbal löyly?
Löyly is the burst of steam when water hits the sauna stones — in Ubud, what hits the stones is a strong herbal tea brewed from a tea bag you pack yourself, choosing from 15+ Balinese herbs like pegagan, kayu putih and boreh. No synthetic aroma oils — real herbs, really extracted. Fittingly, "Ubud" comes from the Balinese word ubad, meaning medicine.
Do you offer yoga classes?
Yes, at the Ubud venue — a yoga session costs 150,000 IDR. Message us on WhatsApp for the current schedule; yoga plus herbal sauna and cold plunge makes an easy half-day reset.
Is there food or drink at the sauna?
Yes, in Kuta — Fischers Table, a Japanese restaurant, and Warung Shisha share the same rooftop as the sauna and ice baths. In Ubud you can unwind by the fire pit after your session.

How much does a sauna cost in Bali?
Sauna at BALI SAUNA costs a flat 250,000 IDR at both venues — one price for everyone. Kids from age 7 pay 50,000 IDR.
Is there a discount for KITAS holders?
There is no separate KITAS or local rate — entry is one flat price for everyone: 250,000 IDR at both venues.
Do I need a reservation?
No reservation is needed — walk-ins are welcome every day. Messaging us on WhatsApp first is recommended for groups or the Saturday sauna party.
Do you take card payments?
Please message us on WhatsApp before your visit to check current payment options — Kuta +62 813-3999-351, Ubud +62 813-3921-110. Carrying some cash in rupiah is always a safe bet in Bali.
Is there a cheaper time to visit?
Yes, in Ubud: the morning session from 8:00 to 10:00 is 100,000 IDR. Kuta stays 250,000 IDR all day.
What is the Saturday Sauna Party?
It is our upcoming Saturday-night event — sauna, ice baths and music from 18:00 to 22:00. Price to be announced — it is coming soon; message us on WhatsApp to hear when it launches.
Safety & health
Can I do an ice bath after drinking alcohol?
No. Alcohol and cold plunges are a dangerous combination for your heart and circulation. Come sober, enjoy the sauna party, and drink after — not before.
Can pregnant women use the sauna?
Please talk to your doctor first — heat and cold exposure during pregnancy is a medical question we cannot answer for you. Then message us on WhatsApp and we will help you plan a gentle visit.
Is the sauna safe with a heart condition or high blood pressure?
Check with your doctor before combining strong heat and cold plunges with any heart or blood-pressure condition. If you get the green light, start gently: short sauna rounds and the milder 17°C bath.
How long should I stay in the ice bath?
One to three minutes is plenty for most people — get out as soon as your breathing stops feeling under control. Beginners should start with the 17°C bath before trying the 7°C one.
How long should I stay in the sauna?
Around eight to fifteen minutes per round, then cool down and rest before the next one. Leave earlier the moment you feel dizzy or uncomfortable — this is not an endurance contest.
Is the water clean?
Yes. All plunge water is chlorinated and managed daily — the same standard as a well-run pool. We publish this openly because hygiene claims should be checkable.
Kids & families
Can children join?
Yes, from age 7 for 50,000 IDR at both venues. In Kuta, children under 7 enter free with a guardian.
Is the sauna safe for kids?
Yes, with common sense: keep sessions short, sit on the lower bench, and make sure kids drink plenty of water. A parent or guardian should stay with them at all times.
Can kids go in the ice bath?
Ask our staff on site or on WhatsApp before your visit — we will advise based on your child's age. Whatever the plan, children should never plunge unsupervised.
Do you have towels and swimwear for kids?
Towels are provided in Kuta and available in Ubud, but bring your child's own swimwear to be safe. Ubud rents swimwear, though kids' sizes are not guaranteed.

What should I wear in a Balinese sauna?
Swimwear, at both venues. In Kuta bring your own — towels are provided; in Ubud you can rent swimwear on site if you forget yours.
Is the sauna mixed-gender?
Swimwear is worn at all times at both venues. For details about the space and session arrangements, message us on WhatsApp before you come.
What are the sauna rules and etiquette?
Rinse off before entering, keep your swimwear on, keep voices low inside the dome, and rinse off sweat before the ice bath. And never mix alcohol with cold plunges — that rule has no exceptions.
Can I take photos at the sauna?
Please ask our staff first and always keep other guests out of your shots. If you are planning content or a shoot, message us on WhatsApp in advance.

Yes — BALI SAUNA + HOKKAIDO ICEBATH in Kuta is about ten minutes by car from Ngurah Rai Airport, on Jalan Sunset Road No.77B. It makes an easy first or last stop on a Bali trip.
What are the opening hours?
Kuta is open daily from 9:00 to 22:00, and Ubud daily from 8:00 to 21:00. Both venues open every day of the week.
Is there parking?
Yes, in Kuta — free underground parking right at the venue. For parking in Ubud, message us on WhatsApp and we will point you to the easiest spot.
What should I bring?
Just swimwear in Kuta — towels are provided. In Ubud, towels and rental swimwear are available on site.
