BALI SAUNA

BALI SAUNA

Simply the best-feeling sauna

Truly comfortable saunas are still rare in Bali.

Scroll

Nozomu Sato came to Bali in 2023 and kept meeting saunas that broke the formula — no airflow, heat mismatched to the room. He wanted a real sauna under this sky. After building one for others, he went independent and built his own: golden-ratio design, wooden geodesic domes raised by hand, from drawings to construction.

A herbal sauna in the Ubud forest. A rooftop under the night sky in Kuta. Come alone if you like. You'll leave a little lighter.

BALI SAUNA runs two sauna & ice bath venues in Bali - a rooftop sauna in Kuta, 10 minutes from the airport, and a herbal sauna in the Ubud forest. Open daily. Day passes: 250,000 IDR in Ubud (tax included), 200,000 IDR +15% tax in Kuta - multi-day, monthly and yearly passes available.

TOTONOI

Your first sauna in Bali

The first 8 minutes are just hot. Water hits the stones - that wave of steam is called löyly. When you can't take it anymore, the ice bath. For a second, your breath stops.

You get out, drop into a chair. The sky is close. There is wind.

From the second round, something changes. By the third, you stop thinking.

After, by the fire or under the sky, the warmth comes back slowly after the cold. Some people just stay there, quiet, for a long time.
