If it's your first time
The first 8 minutes are just hot. When you can't take it anymore, the cold water. For a second, your breath stops. You get out, drop into a chair. The sky is close. There is wind. From the second round, something changes. By the third, you stop thinking. After, by the fire or under the sky, sometimes you find yourself talking to the person next to you. Some people just stay quiet.
About the water
We use chlorine in the cold plunges. Many people use the water every day. This is the most reliable way to keep it clean.

Can I come empty-handed?+
Towels at both. Swimwear provided free at KAYUN Ubud. For Hokkaido Icebath, please bring your own swimwear.
Is it okay to come alone?+
Most people come alone.
Can children enter?+
From age 7 (50,000 IDR). Under 7 is free at Hokkaido Icebath.
