Simply the best-feeling sauna

My husband and I visited today. There were only two or three other customers inside, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, readily assisting us whenever we needed assistance, making us feel very comfortable. While insects can be a concern in Ubud, there were relatively few today, and we were able to freely use insect repellent, making for a very pleasant experience. The steam sauna was scheduled to take about an hour and a half to prepare, so we spent the time relaxing in the regular sauna, enjoying the löyly (steam). Including the warm hospitality of the staff, it was a truly wonderful sauna experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing sauna in Ubud! Ubud can sometimes have quite a few insects, but there were surprisingly few today. Insect repellent was also available for guests to use freely, which made our stay even more comfortable. We were told that the herbal steam sauna would take about 1.5 hours to prepare. While we waited, we enjoyed the regular sauna and the traditional sauna steam session (löyly), and had a very relaxing time. Overall, it was a lovely sauna experience with wonderful and caring staff. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy a relaxing sauna experience in Ubud!

The sauna temperature was around 80–90°C, and I really liked that self-löyly was available. I could adjust the heat to my liking, and since it wasn't too crowded, I was able to relax freely and really enjoy the full sauna experience. What impressed me the most was their unique "Amethyst Steam Sauna." It takes about an hour and a half to prepare after arriving, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The cold plunge temperature was also just right and felt incredibly refreshing. The entire facility was very clean, and the way it harmonized with nature was wonderful. It's a sauna where you can fully enjoy the natural atmosphere of Bali while still getting the kind of quality sauna experience that Japanese sauna lovers can appreciate. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great sauna experience in Ubud.

The rooftop sauna has the best atmosphere! 🔥 This time, the löyly (sauna steam) was made with bay leaves, and the scent was refreshing and relaxing! The sauna's heat and the cold plunge pool were both perfect! I'm totally hooked. Once you go, you'll definitely want to come back! If you're in Bali, you absolutely must go here! It was so amazing, I definitely want to come back again! ♡

You can feel refreshed in the sauna in hot Bali! There are two cold plunge pools, one at 16 degrees Celsius and the other at 5 degrees Celsius, but the 5-degree one is too cold for me to use. It's about a 20-minute Grab ride from the center of Ubud.

A new sauna in Kuta, Bali. I've been to The Sauna in Sanur twice, and apparently it's owned by the same Japanese person. Located on the 4th floor rooftop, there are no buildings obstructing the view, making for a pleasant breeze. The lockers, changing rooms, and showers are fully equipped with shampoo, body soap, a water fountain, and bath towels. There are relaxation chairs, cushioned chairs, and tables and chairs, providing ample seating. The sauna is dome-shaped and allows for löyly (steam). For löyly, they offer both regular water and water with something resembling tea leaves. There are four individual cold plunge pools; two are 18-19°C, and two are ice baths, as the name suggests, colder than usual. It's relatively close to the airport, so it might be a good option to use on your way back.

You can enjoy self-service löyly (sauna steam) with herbal water. There are also cold plunge pools at 17°C and 7°C. The staff are very friendly. Swimsuits may not always be available for rent, so it's best to bring your own.

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming, and you immediately feel comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The combination of the sauna, ice bath, and the two cold pools (around 5°C and 17°C) is perfect and makes for a really refreshing experience. My absolute favorite part is that you can create your own sauna infusion using real herbs. There is a great selection to choose from, which makes every sauna session feel special and personal. A wonderful place to relax, recharge, and enjoy a proper sauna experience. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back!
